Saying that transgender women athletes should not compete against biological women is not being 'transphobic', it is recognising biological reality.

Gender identity does not trump biological reality. Please protect sex segregated sports.

I’m all for inclusion and tolerance, but basing sport categories on gender identification is unfair to females. Sex and gender are different things. Sporting categories should be based on sex (biological difference), not gender identity.

Equal rights for women means equal opportunities in sports, employment, and leadership. Equal opportunities in sports means males should not be entering competitions intended for females. No amount of "identity" can alter the basic biological facts to do with the physical and physiological differences between the two sexes.

fairs fair - madness to pitch yet more men against women, now even in the sporting arena - we know men are usually physically stronger. wake up

There will be no women's sport unless we win this fight. No surrender!

It remains an ongoing struggle for women in sport to be able to compete, and financial rewards are much less than that for men. To allow biologically male bodied women to compete against women is grossly unfair. I would love to see them have sporting classes of their own. Opportunities for all, but not at the expense of anyone else!

Keep men out of female sports. They have taken enough away from women over the years, not this too ...

Men are built totally different from women. Born female, compete against females, born male, compete against males.

I am incredibly supportive of the trans community and I believe people should be able to identify with whatever gender they choose. However, sport is based on biological abilities and therefore biology (sex) should be the leading factor in categorising players against one another for fair play. Sport is only valued when it is fair play. Gender and sex are different things.

I want to encourage young women to be the best they can be at their chosen sport. That they participate wholeheartedly with the joy we know success can bring. Let’s make this a positive campaign

IOC rules are arbitrary and unfair, and need to be revisited. Women's right to fair competition must be protected.

Women risk becoming sidelined in their own competitive sports categories. This is profoundly unfair.
