We are a homeschooling family and these cuts will drastically reduce funding to many families. These cuts are making our eduction system worse not better and this is not fair for the kids.

This is ridiculous. How can our government justify cutting the education spending - this is the future of this province and this country - take your heads out of the sand, tax the big businesses and protect the integrity of our education system.

I can't even believe we have to try to educate our government as to why this is important. Please take a walk through an outreach school if you think cutting anything in education is a good idea. My goodness this is a ridiculous example of idiocy.

My son was born very premature (at 26 weeks) and is about to enter the school system. Although it appears that he has cuaght up we won't know for sure if there are learning set backs until he hits school. If cuts are made that pulls aides from classrooms this will affect many, many families that rely on the extra support to make school a positive and successful experience for their children, not just mine child.

Despite all their efforts, my son's school was unable to find the necessary supports or programmng to help my son. He has not been in school for 5 months and is terrified at the thought. Obviously supports in schools are already inadequate. Further cuts will only hurt more children.

There is no "fat to trim" in education, only waste. Fix the problems instead of encouraging an unbalanced education system. Get back to basics and up hold programs that save taxpayers spending over time, such as homeschooling and special needs...and if we are to support immigration, then make sure we can meet their unique needs as well!

In a time where more special needs children are being born all the time and classroom sizes are growing larger and larger, we need more and more supports in school system, not less! There will be so many children unable to attend school if aid support is cut and so many children going undiagnosed if diagnostic finances are cut leading to extra financial cost to help these people in the future.

Our politicians need to remember that they are where they are today thanks in part to the education they received! Our children are our future and they deserve the best education they can get. If cuts are needed maybe a look at the political system is a place to start and leave our future alone.
