Investing in our children's education is investing in the future. Cutting the education budget is short sighted and damaging to our children and to the men and women who care enough to teach them.

my son is 21. Had six years a small class 18-20 with one teacher and a half time aid who assist with one on one with kids etc. he went to a regular (meaning 30 kids in a class) grade 7 with some extra supports In place. Extra time for tests if needed, support after school etc. finished grade 7 with honor's and this carried through till grade 12. Took all pure level classes with extra supports if require extra half hour for writing tests. He had finished 2 years of petroleum engineering, just about finished his third year and is on the honor's list. I can honestly say fhat the extra help he received the earlier years have him the tools to succeed. It would be such a shame to have children just float through our education system. We will all pay for this in 10 years, 20 years. Kids need rules, quid emcee and one teacher with 30 kids can't possibly provide this. This is a fool who came up with the idea to cut our future leaders!

School Boards need predictable/sustainable funding. There are new schools planned but no dollars for teachers how is that going to work?

there are many places to cut back (ie politician's salaries), without hurting the future of our children and our province!!! This budget "plan" is unacceptable!
