I am sure you may have heard of the plans by certain individuals who claim they speak on behalf of the whole Florida community to rid Masjid Al-Aashiqeen of Imaam Zakariya. The reason given is that he is not performing his duty as an Imaam which is untrue. The behavior of these individuals are bringing the Masjid in disrepute.
There is a petition to retain the services of the Imaam as well as to urge the committee to be more transparent with regards to the affairs and decisions taken regarding the Masjid. The Masjid is a beacon of the Florida Muslim community and as a result all decisions taken should be to represent the majority. If you have interacted with the Imaam and believe that he is an asset to the Masjid please do not hesitate to pass this message on to as many fellow Muslims within the Florida community inviting them to sign the petition.

Imaam Zakariya has added value to the florida community and has grown the attendance at the masjid.... please keep him
Moulana Zakariya is part of this Community and should stay as the Imaam of Masjid Al Aashiqeen, the board should however be reelected if they are Not Transparent. Shukran
I strongly believe that the Imaan is a great leader in our community and forfillls his duties as a Imaam. Connects with our youth
Keep our Imaam as he has such a good understanding with our community and youth. We waited so many years to finally have our masjid in Janet street. Pls save ur politics for Parliament shukhraan
Keep our Imaam and get rid of people and their politics. The masjid is for prayer. Not to deal with people and their insecurity issues.
He is very competent of holding imaamat of the masjid and should be left to do his duty, if anyone feels he should be removed, can gladly take his place.
All I want to say is This Masjid has gone through enough.I don't know why Shaheen of Jimmy's Florida has started this petition without facts..He has been invited to the meeting so the facts wil be revealed to him and then he can post it.
