Every year in Miss DeMarcos eighth grade class she has her studets read the book Speak by Laura Anderson. She thinks the book teaches us good lessons for the years to come. In this book the main character, Melina, gets raped at a party when she about to go in to high school. Some of the childrens parents do not think it is appropriate to read.
