I discovered Sparrows Bar at Christmas when visiting family. What a great little venue, extension of trading hours would be a good thing. To be able to pop in for a cocktail after seeing a show in the city would finish the night on a high note.

This is my go to place after work. It just makes sense for them to get an extension on their hours as they bring so much to the community. An extension of hours could mean more people later in the evening in the area, so a few places serving food will stay open a bit later to cater, and wham, all of a sudden you've got a thriving little nightlife and a massive boost for local traders, and giving locals the opportunity to spend their nights in the area instead of going further afield.

Dan and the team at Sparrows have created one of the brightest shining lights in an otherwise Bayside ghost town once the sun sets. Sparrow’s is a peaceful, respectful and relaxed environment that exists as a wonderful, enjoyable meeting point for local community and should be proportionately rewarded for their service. Bayside Pride!

Please consider how much effort these guys have put into following rules and restrictions of the neighbourhood.
In times like these, you really do start to appreciate what you may have taken for granted, and once the ban is lifted, bars like these deserve to have the option to stay open a bit later on weekends. Not only does it mean there’s more money being spent in the local economy (instead of people going out to the city), it gives people a safe, comfortable space to enjoy their nights and try something new.
Please reconsider and take the time to hear their side!
