I believe enough is enough. Stop raping us for our money. As it is we pay EVERYTHING for our children. What exactly is our taxes being used for with all the money we still put out?

I love South Western but this is not ok. Everything is pretty much electronic now and there is no need for this excessive tax increase.

Why are taxes going up so much? Where is the revenue from all of the new families moving here??? It seems many homes have been built over the past few years!

Oh joy...yet another tax! I have no problem paying a higher tax if my kids were getting a higher quality of education, but that's definitely not the case for sure!

People can hardly afford to stay in there homes now. Do you as a district want more vacant foreclosure a in the district or a district of tax paying citizens? Cut pensions. That is the real answer. Teachers can fund their own retirement like everyone else.

Coming from the best school district in the U.S. (Howard County, MD), I find the SW School District taxes excessive. There has to be gross inefficiency in the operation.

Some families can't afford the taxes now, can't imagine how families will cope with another tax rise.

Bottom line, this is to "sure-up" pension funds. Cut the pension. I am a Teamster Union member. We cut our pension to keep the benefit healthy. Government regulations require a minimum threshold for plans, to acheive this the school board will constantly vote a tax increase.

I am voting against the tax increase. Retired people cannot afford this increase. with all the homes being built the district doesn't need the increase. make due with what you have.
