Southwestern School District Taxpayers for Accountability

I think that there is plenty of money in the budget already, if not too much. And considering I don't even have any kids to send to school this is already a hard tax to deal with.

I've paid this tax for many years now. I'm 73 years old . Will we ever get any relief ?

This is a very wealthy School District. The proposed tax increase is a disgrace.

We're not saying cut the budget, we are saying to live within your means. You cannot raise the tax by the maximum amount every year and not expect some pushback. You are pricing people out of your district. No one is receiving raises at work, stop raising taxes.

We already pay too much for school taxes in southwest school district. There many ways to cut the tax burden but you need to want. All this school board wants to do is spend at the expense of the people who already have been taxed to the hilt. Why don't we try something different, live within a budget that doesn't raise taxes.

There definitely has to be other ways to save money, the budget needs to be adjusted.....and not at the expense of our children.

I am a SW alumni as well as are my children, but I feel this proposed tax increases is ridiculous! There are plenty of other ways to cut the budget!!

I agree! Our schools need to stop being run as colleges. Most everyone is sacrificing in some way due to costs so it is time for boards and administrators to get real!

I vote no to an increase in taxes! Do like we have to and adjust your spending to meet your income.

I too am an alumnae of SW. Proud of our school but think 4.5% is out of line?

Barb Rupp and her cronies must stop treating the taxpayers like their personal piggybanks. And I'm damn tired of paying for someone else's pension!

Insane considering we are working people who have to use private kindergarden since it is cheaper than half day due to day care costs!
