No Public Works Yard in South Canoe

South canoe property owner and resident. I oppose the maintenance yard because it would increase heavy traffic in the area as well as congest the 2 way stops on hiway 97 which are already a crapshoot to try and get onto the hiway in the mornings. Maintenance crews and trucks added to that would be a mess every morning leaving canoe on 10th

Not a good use of land or building

This would just be wrong. A works yard like this should be in the industrial area

Salmon Arm has other areas designated for Industrial use. A Works complex does not belong in the middle of a rural farming area.

As a resident living within the playground speed zone of klahani park, i can attest to the fact that the current traffic (including city vehicles) treats the 30km/hr speed limit as a unenforced suggestion. I can imagine what sort of impact this proposed development will have on our community. All the current gravel pit traffic is bad enough. Anyone who has to use the 10th Ave and 97B crossing should know that this proposal is an alarming, half-baked idea for this and so many other reasons.

More traffic means more potential danger for the many horse/riders, mountain bikers and other athletes who use this area to train.

resident of South Canoe and I use this road 3 x day. I would not want to see more traffic in that area, and specifically at the Hwy 97B and 10th Ave intersection, it is dangerous enough as it is now!

This facility has no place in a residential area.

I do not deem a works yard as an appropriate use for this site.

Seems like it would be better suited to the industrial park!!!!

The city wouldn't build a playground or school in an industrial park, so why would they think it's ok to build an industrial site in a residential community? Think about it people....

Salmon Arm, Tappen Area. This belongs in the industrial area, not South Canoe.

I think it is great to expand the Field of Dreams. The Public Works facility belongs in the Industrial Park or in behind Fisher Funeral, not in a residential neighborhood!
