The Village Council finally backed down and confirmed the current dog policy will remain untouched. We forced them to listen instead of letting them steamroll our community for no reason. Keep your eyes peeled because we are not going to let them try this again.

We, the undersigned residents of the Greater Chagrin Valley do hereby declare our wish that the so-called “No Leash” law currently in place for South Russell Village Park, remain in force and that Village Council take no action that would change, replace or modify this existing ordinance.

The South Russell Village Parks Committee is trying to gaslight us into believing these restrictions are for our own good. I am watching every move they make and I will keep pushing back against this blatant disregard for our park access.

Stop trying to change everything. People love this park exactly how it is.
LEAVE IT ALONE. If it isnt broken dont fix it.
This is honestly the only way my golden retriever gets enough exercise. Everyone i see there is responsible anyway.
please dont make us leash the dogs. they are social animals and need to play. very bad idea to change this.
Keep it off-leash. We have been coming here for years and its the only place around where my lab can actually run free without being stuck on a rope.

My dog needs to run and burn off energy. Dont ruin the best part of the park for us.
