Horrific incidents have occurred too many times in this stupid park. People have been mugged, attacked, raped. Young students walk through this park everyday, dark and light. It’s terrifying. It’s not too much to ask for at least one lit area.

This was an obvious necessity years ago, rather than implementing this the council rather spend money blocking roads for cars that no one votes for

This is a no brainier, lights need to be put up for safety. Almost every week you hear of violent acts being committed in South Park.

It is very dangerous for any individual to walk into South Park without sufficient lighting

Awful that this hasn’t happened yet. How many girls are going to get raped for lights to be put up. Instead the city council funding a useless revamp of covered market and spend a little bit on the important things.

I regularly use this route and it frightens me every time it’s dark, this is not normal. Lights need to be there

It is very important for lighting to be added here, as a woman I feel vulnerable when walking back from university
