CSU is considering a two-way bike lane on South Drive to create a safer bike corridor. The two-way bike lane will create enough space for bikes to travel both East and West on South Drive and will provide an alternate route for bikers on Pitkin that have experienced challenges this fall with construction traffic and congestion on that street.
To create the bike lane, the parallel parking along the South side of South Drive will be removed (the diagonal parking on the North side will remain). If you are supportive of piloting the bike lane for spring semester 2016 please sign below. Traffic and bike flow, safety, and usage will be monitored to determine if the bike lane can/should become permanent.

It will save me time getting to class by not having to "walk" my bike down the sidewalk or get yet another bike ticket for going the wrong way or cutting people off.
I would bike to class more often, but it's scary biking along Pitkin or South Drive. Drivers can be inconsiderate of bikers. This is VERY MUCH needed!!
I live right by the street and I see bikers going the wrong way all the time, which isn't safe.
This would be very beneficial especially with the stadium construction going on off of pitkin
This would be very helpful so I would not have to dodge oncoming cars or go 5 minutes out of the way to merely get to the library from AV.
I almost got hit by a car like 6 times on this road lmao

This is needed, at the moment there is no good way to get to buildings around the area of BSB, and i'm tired of getting stopped by bike cops on my way to class and getting told that what they told me the last time they stopped me has changed and is no longer legal. Plus all of the construction on Pitkin is making that unsafe, there are pedestrians walking in the bake lane forcing bikers to weave in and out of traffic.
