This would benefit both law abiding firearms users and public located close to rural gun ranges.

I would think in our safety-conscious climate, this type of sound attenuation device would be legislated as a REQUIREMENT rather than being prohibited.

As a courteous citizen, I curtail my my target shooting practice leading up to competitions, so as to not bother my good friends at neighboring farms. A sound moderator on my rifle would allow me to shoot more often, become a better and safer shooter, and spend more money on ammunition from small town retailers and of course: Taxes.
Please, let's put facts before fear, and allow the use of this health and safety device.

These would allow firearms to be used for recreational and sporting purposes without upsetting people. A perfect example is the RCMP having to stop carbine training outside of Regina due to the noise upsetting a nearby residential area. If these were used by the RCMP the noise would be minimal.

An environmental friendly measure, sound pollution is something difficult to fight, sound moderators are an easy solution to implement.

I am in favor if sound moderators on fire arms. I have tinnitus from shooting. This could and would have been prevented with the use of sound moderators. I have been to a range in Washington state where they are legal and the difference is huge. This would also help alleviate some if not all of the noise complaints gun clubs are receiving.

Sound moderators should not be prohibited devices in Canada.
They provide personal safety just as much as hearing protection and safety glasses. They just make sense.

It just makes sense, hearing damage cause by shooting is a real issue even when hearing protection is worn.
