I know quite a few people that have hearing loss due to this issue. I wholly endorse this cause.

Put an end to noise complaints by range neighbours and improve the safety to shooters' and spectators' hearing.

While good ear protection is the norm for any RO, Participants and Spectators at ranges and shooting events it makes perfect sense that lawfull firearm owners should have the ability to use devices that are 100% effective and reducing noise levels for themselves and those within 'ear shot'. There is sufficient regulation on firearm owners that prohibiting these devices does not increase saftey, it simply removes an option for firearm owners to create a healthier environment for themselves and those around them.
Thank you

Suppressors are the only practical hearing safety device for hunting, which is an activity more popular with Canadians than hockey. It's unacceptable that Canada is one of the only first world countries to ban such a device.

Politicians prohibit sound moderators because they believe Hollywood movies. In reality, a gun shot with a sound moderator is 140db - which is as loud as a jet engine from 100 feet away. It's still very loud. Please make an educated decision, not a decision based on ignorance. Thank-you.

Lift the prohibition on sound moderators, allow the choice of courtesy in hunt and sport!

The UK has some of the most strict gun control on the planet and they encourage their use. There is no logic is their prohibition.

In Finland they are required for most shooting. No weak kneed emotionalism there. So why do we have it here. Too many people get all their information from Hollywood movies.

Anyone with a little knowledge on the subject knows this is just common sense, prohibitions like these are meant only to make things harder for those trying to be lawful

It is ridiculous that sound moderators are illegal in Canada. In many EU countries it is encouraged, even mandatory in a few, to use them while hunting in order to protect the hunters hearing. When will Canada ever start making fact based, common sense laws?

Gun clubs are being surrounded by residential now and shut down for noise violations bylaws. Sound moderators would go a long way. Target shooting is a sport and our Canadian heritage.

This is a common sense priority to enable law abiding, tax paying citizens to protect their hearing while engaged in legal , law abiding sport shooting activities. Its criminal for the government to make safety equipment unobtainable by Canadian citizens.
