I would like to see sound moderators allowed. This is a very simple way for all to protect our hearing.

Given sound moderators are legal in countries with more restricted firearms legislation than we have in Canada, there should be no logical reason not to have them removed for the prohibited device list.

Despite Canada and its claimed to have good health and safety laws, it is really hard to believe that the Canadian government does not care about many gun owners and their hearing!

As a competitive shooter in my 30's I have lost a good chunk of my hearing directly resulting in a lower quality of life. Sound moderators is essential PPE, exactly why LEO use it. (Not what Hollywood makes it out to be)

It is extremely important for me to have a moderator on my firearm. It will allow me to protect my livestock without scaring them, reduce noise pollution and most importantly protect my hearing.

Prohibition of Sound Moderators is nonsense. Worst case scenario, they should be restricted, and registered with serial numbers (we already have the infrastructure to accomplish this, RPAL), or create special permits to possess (PAL?), OR ban mufflers on cars. Why don't we just ban mufflers on cars. Prohibiting SM's is that ridiculous.

There is no reason why anyone can argue reducing the sound of a firearm makes it more dangerous.

The logical hearing protection and less noise from ranges reasons, far out weight the fabricated reasons to ban them.

It's common sense for law abiding citizens to have these. It sure would enhance the experience when at a busy range.
