I support the use of sound moderators for all law abiding firearm owners in Canada. This would be a win-win for all, including non-firearm owners that live within hearing distance of all outdoor ranges in Canada.

I am a hunter and sport shooter that suffers from noise induced hearing loss despite wearing traditional forms of hearing protection. I even use soft ear plugs in combination with muff style while at the range. Sound suppressors and sound moderators would drastically help in many ways including reduced noise complaints from neighbours of the range.

This issue has been over influenced by crime novels and hollywood.
Sound Moderators benefit the recreational shooter and those who live near ranges.
They are not used by criminals.

I am signing this because, as with most prohibited devices, they are prohibited not because of any sane and logical reasoning but because of a deep seated paranoia that legal cotizens will do terrible things because they are allowed a piece kf equipment. It's time to change that.

We should be allowed these devices to protect our hearing. Hearing loss is the most common injury to hunters/shooters, it is especially dangerous to hunters who need to be able to listen for their game.

We do not live in Europe but, perhaps, we can look at the model for moderators that countries such as Norway, England, Scotland are using and see that these pieces of equipment have a place in usage on Firearms (Long Rifle or Bolt Action) here in Canada.
Less range issues due to noise complaints.
Less serious hearing issues when utilized for hunting purposes.
Thank you for your consideration of this matter.

Our friends in the UK actually encourage sound moderators for the many cogent reasons outlined in this petition. There is no reason for us to be so behind the times!

This is very reasonable and should be a legal option for law abiding Canadians.

This is a safety issue. I think Hollywood has skewed the attitude towards these devices and logic needs to play a bigger role

With all the laws we already have concerning safety, its ridiculous that they havn't done some like this years ago.

Moderators do NOT completely silence, but bring noise levels into a normal range making it safer for everyone involved

Unlike in the movies where it goes "PEW PEW", with sound modifiers it still makes a "BANG" just not as loud. Help us reduce the noise and save our hearing!

Experienced shooting with a suppressor at a range in Arizona while there with some friends.
Try listening to a car with no muffler and then installing one.
Absolute no-brainer!
