Sound Moderators - Lift the Criminal Prohibition

Remember that prohibiting a device only stops law abiding people, not law breakers.

losing my hearing day by day to a hobby I enjoy so much.

I would be nice if I could not lose any more of my hearing while continuing to harvest food for my family.

I shouldn't need to damage my hearing in order to feed my family!

We need suppressors, they are no danger to public safety, in fact they do the opposite they protect us.

This should've been done long ago and really should never of existed in the first place.

I've been sport shooting and hunting since I was 10yrs old (38yrs). My children also shoot and will do so for their lifetimes. Please recognise the importance of preserving our hearing and sponsor a petition in the House of Commons to lift this prohibition.

Make it legal to protect my hearing on the range and while hunting .

Canadians deserve policy based not on superstition, but facts. Facts such as the serious hearing damage that firearms may incur, even with hearing protection. As a chronic sufferer of tinnitus, I implore my fellow Canadians to commit to the moderation of firearms.

As an Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon and avid sport shooter, I find it barbaric that our country prohibits items which are essentially personal protective equipment. It's no different than banning helmets for cyclists.

Tinnitus is a preventable lifetime affliction to many hunters and sport shooters.

I find it repugnant that my government forbids a device that protects the my personally hearing and that of those around me while target shooting. Many times at the range I have ended my session because the family shooting next to me doesn't have sufficient hearing protection for the rifle that I had planned on using. This isn't the dark ages. We have the mechanical means to save every person's hearing. Wake up.

It only takes a single shot to cause lifelong hearing loss. Protect hunters - allow the use of sound moderators.

I would very much like to be able to protect my hearing and that of those around me while shooting/hunting/plinking.

My sons are involved with firearms, learning responsibility, patience, and overall safety. Their hearing should not be pointlessly gambled away on a device that lowers the db output of a firearm but does not make it "silent" like in a Hollywood movie.
