It is time that we the Canadian people have the right to protect ourselves and our families against any harm that WE deem threatening. We also deserve and request the right to possess and use sound modifiers for reasons of safety as well as to minimize the nuisance to nearby residents while hunting and target shooting.

Firearm moderators are used in many countries as a health and safety device to lower noise. They enhance safety of firearm users and the public

Having suffered minor degradation of hearing from years on the railway, even with the use of foam earplugs, I wholeheartedly support any initiative that will allow myself and others to go about their activities as safely and quietly as possible. Let this be an informed choice, not an emotional and fearful response.

From a safety point of view it's a no brainer!

I would love to be able to shoot comfortably and safely. I hope this goes through.

I have some minor hearing loss in one ear that could be averted by the availability of these devices. The protection of personal health and safety in the workplace is maintained by engineered controls. Why are firearm users not allowed access to a similar control that will protect them. It is time for a common sense approach to such issues.

Joined a gun club. Having lots of fun shooting but would love to use and have people around use suppressors to reduce greatly the noise and protect my hearing. Thank you for your time.

Back in Britain I could use sound moderators in addition to earmuffs to protect my hearing. Not so much in Canada. Why?

These are tools like any other tool. No reason why they should be banned. (scary is not a reason to ban something)

What logical reason is there to prohibit suppressors?

Most countries encourage these. Save our hearing.
