They should be allowed at least at gun ranges and target shooting. It's really disparagable that everytime there is a criminal incident with forearms in Canada the politicians and lobbyists go after the responsible law abiding gun owners by banning more firearms Which doesn't stop the criminals who obtain their guns illegally in the first place.

Je suis d'accord sur la légalisation des silencieux pour les carabine, raison la protection des oreilles et de ne pas dérangé par le bruit.

Les silencieux sont légaux presque partout aux États-Unis. Un criminel canadien n'a qu'à aller à Kanasataqué (réserve indienne à cheval sur le Québec, l'Ontario et les États-Unis) pour s'acheter un silencieux. Les autorités canadiennes n'ont aucune trace du "tube" qui sera utilisé à des fins criminelles. Même en campagne, un voisin entend les coups de feu du tireur à la cible ou du chasseur. Tranquillité accrut. Mais le plus important serait la protection de l’ouïe de l'utilisateur. Légalisons !!!

Le bruit qu’un arme a feu fait peut facilement abîmer l’ouie. De plus a la chasse nous ne pouvons pas mettre de coquille pour les oreilles puisqu’il serait tres dificile d’entendre un predateur ou meme un autre chasseur arriver près de nous.un silencieux nous permets d’etre alerte apres un coup de feu.

I do not see why most other countries in the western world can have legalized sound suppressors but Canada still classifies them as a criminal item. We are so behind the times in this country it is stupid.

I'm 17 and I've enjoyed hunting, and shooting sports ever since I could hold a gun upright. Unfortunately I already have some hearing loss ( I assume due to shooting). I would love to be able to enjoy the sports and not lose my hearing!
