“F–k the FBI and the Army troops/ Fighting for what/ Be your own man” says the rapper in the newly released video, “Let’s Be Real." This is the message that Soulja Boy is sending out to the world. Not only is he disrespecting the troops, but there are many people that listen to his music and are parading around singing these lyrics. Such a derogatory and disrespectful remark about the brave men and women that are fighting to defend our country, honor our lives, and fight for our freedom. Soulja Boy has been banned from U.S. Military Bases and I believe that his music should be banned from public radio, as well. What kind of message would we be sending to the millions of men, women, boys, and girls if we continue to play his music? Everyone is entitled to their opinion and freedom of speech, but it should be illegal to speak ill of the people that are defending the country that we live in. An apology is not enough. These were not words that were "accidentally" mumbled. These are words that he put together in a recording studio and repeated continuously before releasing it to the public. How do you think the families of the fallen soldiers would feel about this song? Thank you, to the troops that are bravely fighting for our lives, and thank you to the fallen soldiers that had their lives taken while defending ours. We do NOT feel the same way that Soulja Boy does. Let's keep his songs off of the radio. He doesn't support our troops that are risking their lives for our country, so refuse to support his "musical" career.
