Given the importance of physical activity to health and well being this is an essential resource which should be available to both local and visitor alike.

I so appreciate this facility and recognise all the advantages that have been given to the community by McDonalds but please reconsider the decision to turn your back on us.

Shocking they are trying to do this yet again. Very disappointed by the resort

So disappointed to hear this. We use the pool a lot and will have no where else to swim. Prices to non residents are far out of reach of local people. Please reconsider, many children will not be able access this important life skill if it is taken away.

This is the second time in as many years that they have tried to do this

It would be a terrible loss to the local community.

Too much money has been put in to the construction of this by public purse to allow this to happen

Wouldn't surprise me if it's just a stunt to get an increased membership rate agreed by locals!!

The Macdonald resort is an important part of what makes Aviemore such a special place. Don't forget your role in the community.

This is the only local pool to Aviemore, Kingussie and Newtonmore. If HLH members lose access to this facility it would affect many friends. Its not really acceptable, will the council build there owb pool?

My friends and I swim here every week. As older members of the community, affordable access to swimming is very important to help us stay fit. I also bring my 2 year old grandson to help him enjoy water and learn to swim. Please don't exclude us by making it too expensive for ordinary local folk.

I would be devestated to lose access to the pool, my eldest is benefitting so much from swimming lessons and my youngest is due to start soon. Without access to the pool I would have no choice but to stop these lessons due to the huge challenge logistically of driving them to the nearest pool. During the lessons my youngest goes to soft play where I bought an annual pass to allow for this and myself and many other parents buy a lot out of the cafe at soft play too. That’s a lot of revenue to lose out on for the hotel too.....

Hopefully we can prove how valuable this service is, highlife allows kids through to oap's the opportunity to stay fit and would be such a shame if good community relations broke down over this. Come on there's still time!

This is ridiculous! You’re taking away a valuable resource for lots of local people and families!
