These athletes and their parents have made many sacrifices over the years which have allowed the kids to develop their athletic skills so that they can play at a competitive level. A gymnasium is plenty big enough for social distancing and it is shameful not to allow the parents in to watch and support their kids. Let the parents in!

I agree whole heartedly. We need to be there for our kids for emotional support as well as their safety. I am more worried about child abductions than this virus that the numbers are just not supporting the restrictions that are in place.

Our freedoms are being violated. I hear people say...If everyone were to wear a mask, the spread of the virus would be stopped. If that’s true, why are we being prohibited from going anywhere. Especially into a facility where they would require a mask. There is no logic to any of this. My 8 year old boy has to go into a gym by himself to go play in his basketball game with no parents there to support him. This is SO wrong on so many levels.

Yes . This is wrong! We should be able to see and support our athletes. We have seniors that will be their last year playing and it’s frustrating that we can’t both go support them.

I agree with others on what has been said. If 6 feet apart and wearing masks work in other places, it should work in a school gym as well. You could easily fit families of the athletes with plenty of room to spare. Not allowing parents and fans changes the very game these kids have spent years playing. They need the fans! They need to feel supported! Please review this latest policy change and allow for an exception to be made in this regard. We need all the positivity we can get at this point.
