As much as this is a personal freedom issue, it is also a parental rights issue.

If you are scared, stay home! Why limit the rest of us! I’ve already had it so I can get it or spread it! Why can’t I attend!?

Please consider the arguments presented in this petition. They are logical and not emotional or fear based. We understand our risk and that of our children. We do so understanding the possible negative outcome but also with the hope of being able to support our children in the activities they love. Thank for you allowing sports to be played in our state!

Let the public decide if they want to stay away or not. You can’t keep us from our kids sports. You don’t need to save us from ourselves. We should have the right as Americans to choose period.

This should be presented to the local health districts as well.

As a coach, teacher, and parent I feel like I’m on the front lines of battle with these kids. It makes no sense to me that the students can go to school all day together in classrooms, but then are not allowed to be together as a student section at a ball game. As a health teacher I see the mental and emotional toll that these kinds of restrictions due to Covid-19 have on these kids. It is not good. For the long and short term overall health of the students they should have people they love watching and supporting them doing the things they love! We know there is minimal risk to these healthy young people, and most importantly we are sick of our freedoms as citizens of the United States being taken from us! Have enough courage to do what your state has voted you in to do! Listen to the voice of the people... you work for us!

Kids need support. There is no reason parents and family shouldn’t be allowed to watch their kids. If my kid was hurt who would get to make a medical decision for them? I wouldn’t want it to be anyone but me. You are not forced to attend but we should not be forced to not attend.

I believe we can be responsible while supporting our students in their journey. We are all willing to do our part to help create a positive health environment for kids to feel love and support. It takes a village, so lets no expect the kids to live without the support of their village of family and team mates families.

Please allow parents to watch their kids play basketball in person at their schools!

Parents need to be able to watch their kids participate in extra curricular activities. I also think students need to be allowed to attend. Those events are where memories and bonds are made. They are at school all day everyday with the same kids so if something is going to get passed it will during school hours. Thanks

Gyms are big enough to social distance and it is critical these kids be allowed to have support of cheerleaders, dance teams, bands, and parents
