Soo Fire Cuts- 25% Slash in Fire Protection Services

I consider the fire dept (full compliment) like my insurance policy. It is mandatory to carry insurance on my property I may not need it for years but when I do I'm sure glad it's there for my protection, much the same can be said about our fire, paramedics, and police depts. we may not need them anytime soon but when we do.wouldn't it be nice to know they will be there in full .........

We need all the firefighters not half of them.

Please keep the people of Sault Ste Marie safe. Please make us a priority over the budget.

Proactive safety first troubled times could occur.

Please think about this!!!!

City of Sault Ste Marie mayor and council please rethink your decision at reducing front line firefighters. Your decision thus far hasn't been made with all the facts. You are taking one individuals opinion because you hired him, which is all too typical of past city councils, mayors, CAOs, etc. I don't think your decision was based on all the facts and it was rushed.

Get it together please !

Please keep our firemen on the job, we need them to continue serving our community, it would be a shame to let them go. pLease reconsider your decision, thank you.

Do not make these cuts. We need to be protected.

Don't cut fire fighter,we need them all!!

We need to increase not decrease our protection.

Cutting staff for saving money??? What about adding staff to save people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If the city is so determined to make cuts let's see it happen at 99 Foster Dr.

Their are creative ways to reduce costs and manage budgets…reduction of essential front line services is not one of them.

We need every firefighter . They dont just fight fires. They are the Jaws of live in accidents, clean up crew when a bear ,moose or horse gets killed on our roads . there when you need help in a medical emergency. They are part of our EMS as well security for this city

Removing even one fire fighter puts us closer to danger if a sistuation ever arises, lets hope it not your house hold

We need all of our firefighters. They are important and part of also the ems teams in Sault Ste Marie

We need our firefighters and EMT ! Dig deeper into the budget!!

I can't believe this is happening

This needs to be solved soon before someone is seriously injured
