This year is going to have the most amount of incoming students and why do we want to have less general parking? There is practically already none. I have been late to class due to being unable to find parking. The parking problem in out school is ridiculous!!!! What about the parking near the student center? It is always empty! why make a parking lot if STUDENTS can't even park there?? How about we put students first. Make more parking! Ive seen plenty of campuses with parking structures.

If General cannot park in Housing, then Housing should not be able to park in General.

I fully agree with this petition. Parking is difficult as it is during the school year and without the housing lots being available for general permits it will be close to impossible to get a parking spot especially during the prime class times

More parking for students=less time stalking fellow students to their cars to get a spot=less time trying to find parking=getting to class on time and more time to study=better grades=better academic experience at SSU and a more attractive school=more money for the university

Since you think it's ok to close the housing parking lot for general parking, then you should open up the student center parking lot.

I've always specifically had a problem with the lot in front of the art building being reserved. That's where all my classes are held, I should be able to park there without having to pay double what everyone else does. Trying to find parking anywhere else on campus is a nightmare and even when I leave 30 minutes early for class (I live 2 minutes away) I end up being late. It's also not fair how much we pay for the parking passes when there isn't even enough parking for everyone.

We pay almost 100$ to be restricted to only (three or four) lots on campus. The least you do is let us park in housing until five pm. It creates more parking for students on campus. Our students have to now drive around for half an hour trying to find parking. This is crazy.

Staff do not have designated parking, either. While the administration seems to repeat the same line of "we have lots of parking available," they ignore the fact that very few non-reserved lots are convenient. Parking in Lot G and walking to Carson Hall during El Nino will be a disaster.

There's always parking at the GMC, stop being lazy and just walk. The events are only at nights usually which means when there is no parking there, there is usually parking in other general lots when the campus isn't so busy. Instead of spending your time finding a closer parking stop just park somewhere further.

The 'housing' lot nearest to the children's school should become general because as a female walking all the way to the other side of campus at night because I have a late class in Chalk Hill feels unsafe and completely rediculous.
