I also think creating a faculty parking lot would be beneficial in terms of teachers having designated places to park. I also believe that having more bike lanes for bikes would help decrease dangerous sitiuations for bikers. I personally think having a parking structure would benefit Sonoma Greatly.

Ever since I was a freshman in 2006, I have said SSU would benefit from a parking structure. I could see this parking stucture going right next to the new student center. Or in the IVES parking lots. Then the housing parking lots could be used for just housing parking permit holders.

As a student who already pays more than enough for a college education, I thinks it's absurd that we have to fight for parking to attend our classes. Students have enough to deal with as it is with balancing jobs and academics. Why make it more challenging for students to attend the classes that we pay for by restricting parking.

I couldn't aford a parking pass, so my roomate and I shared one. We carpooled to class, and would leave and not even go to school because we would leave 20 min early and still be 30 min late to class trying to find parking. Teachers fail you on tests for being late, when why should we pay over 3600 a semester when we can't even park to go to class. Something has to be fixed. Ucsb does not allow freshman to even have cars

I already have enough trouble finding parking as it is. I have missed classes, which i PAY FOR, because I cannot park

At least make the reserved lots open to everyone a majority of the time and only have them as reserved when needed. Or make one of the reserved lots open to the public.

We need better lighting across campus so that students aren't worried or afraid of parking across campus during evening classes and then having to walk in the dark after.

Parking far from your vehicle is absurd and to be ticketed for parking in housing is ridiculous. I wish the university would actually address the parking issue instead of treating it like it's a matter inconvenience. It is not convenient for me to be late to class, it is not convenient to wake up at 6AM to get a parking space, but most of all it is not convenient for me to be out $100 dollars to not have anywhere to park. This is a legitimate problem that has been going on for years and the campus refuses to effectively address it.
