No to Three Weekly Bin Collections in Somerset - Somerset County Council reconsider the plans before they start in Autumn 2017

Happily sign stupid decision to implement a three week collection, get real!

It will lead to fly tipping & vermin especially in warmer months.

Absolutely ridiculous as it is my black bin is over flowing at two weeks and I recycle as much as will allow!!! Plus have two in nappies im sure that will be lovely after 3 weeks!!!

We have full weekly recycling bins, we have a big family and after two weeks we struggle to fit bags in our bin! We would never last 3 weeks! Plus I do weekly dump runs.

You need to keep the bins done regularly.3 weeks is too long and the smell will attract vermon.please reconsider your decision. It takes 2weeks to fill a blackbag with 2 adults no kids and thats with using the recycling box so how you expect families with children to cope 3weeks is just ridiculous without causing vermon or birds/cats destroying bags to ivestigate rubbish inside.

No 3 weeks collections!! 2 weeks is bad enough!!

Totally unacceptable, more rubbish will litter the streets, with no one to clear it up!

Gladly sign, absolutely ridiculous...our house is occupied by two and the waste is just about bearable!! (Including recycling) The three weekly idea of waste collection is beyond a joke! Pest control and other public health and safety services are gonna be stretched if this goes ahead.

not happy as we pay the council tax for this service !! & do not want to see an eye sore of rubbish in our streets which will encourage the rats etc

We demand bin collections as they were.

I recycle everything and still have 3 black wheelie bins full of rubbish every 2 weeks, so every 3 weeks is rediculous!

Wait for rubbish to be dumped everywhere !!!

3 week collection will only lead to more fly tipping

We pay nearly £200 council tax each month and expect the basic services such as refuse collections to be provided more than every 3 weeks, which will lead to a build up of waste which is unhygienic and more rubbish being dumped in the wider environment.

5children I do not want all that rubbish outside my house for 3weeks during the summer... 2weeks it's bad enough.

I lived in Germany for 9 years and they had it right, all recycling was put into clear bags and separated and also had to be washed ,"other waste" was limited and needed less collection but recycle was done fourtnighlty, glass was taken to special banks to be recycled and customers were refunded a small amount for bottles in supermarkets, packaging was reduced in food as in milk came in packets rather than plastic cartons, veg came in paper bags rather than plastic and could be used for food waste. this reduced their waste by a considerable amount , anyone abusing this was fined, surely this would be a better option than expecting families to go 3 weeks without collection, they also have far less waste than the uk yet population is bigger go figure

Absolutely bloody ridiculous. I have 2 black bins and they're always full with fortnightly collections. 3 weekly for a family with only 1 bin is just insane
