No to Three Weekly Bin Collections in Somerset - Somerset County Council reconsider the plans before they start in Autumn 2017

As a family of four this will not work for us. For our single neighbour with the same bin this could work. There's more than enough rubbish scattered on the streets and fly tipped now, it will only get (much) worse :-(

Your increase to 3 weekly collections will result in a MASSIVE increase in tip waste and fly tipping which will end up costing more. Do the right thing and stick to the 2 weekly collection. I'm sure a small monthly increase in council tax will cover costs .

You'll have more people dumping smelly rubbish.

This is just madness how to invite vermin

Some of us couldnt go 3 weeks and become of road works we couldn't get to the tip , you would get flys in the heat and as there are no dog bins that has to go in bin

A three week bin collection is no good for families even if they do recycle as well.

We just about make it to 2 weeks, dreading it being 3 weeks. Wouldn't want to be the bun man who has to open the lid on our bin with nappies and dog poo in for 3 weeks!!

I can't leave my buns 3 weeks have 3 kids the bins are always full at just 2 weeks :/

It will also encourage vermin and be a potential health hazard, not to mention the increase in fly tipping that will surely increase even more as people dont want their rubbish hanging around.

Our bin is full to overflowing after only two weeks, even though we are strict with our re-cycling. We sometimes end having to get some stuff out the way by taking it to the tip.

Struggle with 2 week collections!!

Please SCC consider the implications for public health and the NHS if collections are reduced to 3 weekly collections. This is inadequate providin and poor value for money from council tax payers.

please do not do this. We have a family of 6, recycle everything we can, have a larger bin and still not enough room for two weekly collections.

Fortnightly is already overloading the bins. Three weeks will lead to more mess and more work for the bin men!

Not too bad for me as I live alone but for families I can't see how they will cope. It also has the potential to encourage pest like flies and rats.
