No to Three Weekly Bin Collections in Somerset - Somerset County Council reconsider the plans before they start in Autumn 2017

The council recycles very little of what can be recycled from a house with the pipe line to start to charge to use recycling centres its beyond belief and is our councils l tax going to be raised to cover this ?

This is crazy, bin is always full after 2 weeks. Council tax has just gone up so I don't expect less for it!

It's bad enough as it is if your away and miss bin day it would be 6 weeks, the rats will be out in force!

Nonsense . Lower council tax if this comes in to force .God forbid !!!!

This is ridiculous we recycle and our bin is always full I can't shut the lid sometimes. Its ok for small household but us larger busy families will need 2 bins

Three weeks is too long for families with babies in nappies, their bins will be over flowing and smelling, This is not acceptable to have this situation forced upon them

I am against the 3-weekly collections

They don't collect enough recycling to change to 3 weeks. An average family of 4/5 struggle to fit the 2 weeks as it is

Too long!! There's only 2 people in our house and our bin is full after a fortnight and we recycle everything you will collect. Families will really not cope, streets will be dirty and full of rodents.

Struggling now with the bins having one still in nappies I get 2 extra bags on each collection as it is an if I don't make sure I put stickers on th they won't take them is a nightmare I recycle all I can an yet they don't take it all depends which people it is need sorting out properly

Absolutely no way. My bin is over flowing right now and won't be emptied till Wednesday. I already complained to the council about the size of the bins and the collection frequency and they provided stickers to go on my bin bags, all very well until birds or animals rip into them. Not to mention the rise in council tax!

3 weekly collections would be a nightmare. The council need to reconsider urgently.

We are a large family plus have a new born baby ( to much nappies) the two weeks are to much why they take not evert week and we read that will to three weeks really we are not happy if it will 3 weeks i will than one big black bin extra thanks

Most ridiculous idea to change to 3 weekly collections. Will only increase people fly tipping. I have a large family and will never cope!

We are a family with 4 children, 2 of which are in nappies. The last thing we want is the smell of moldy nappies in our garden (which is the only place we can store our bins) where our children play for 3 weeks, its bad enough for 2 weeks!! This will also increase fly tipping in the area!! Bad move on the councils part again

Ridiculous idea. 2 weeks is bad enough

I have a large family 2 toddlers in nappys full time, a large disabled teenager who also is incontinent and a dog who is my disabled child's only form of therapy and requires a certain amount of bin capacity for her (mess) . This is not including a lot of normal non recyclable rubbish each week. Three bins are at max capacity on the 2 week collection cycles, so 3 weeks is just well out of the question with only the 3 bins currently provided. Given the nature of some of the contents (pads, nappies and dog mess) I think 3 weeks is not at all best for people that have to have bins near property nor near public footpaths. It is an environmental risk to health and could lead to further diseases developing and being passed on by possible bacteria breading within close proximity to human beings. I feel this is awfully irresponsible in this day and age where already enough risks to health and welfare within the environment.

Three weeks is far too long

There will be rubbish hanging around, its ridiculous, just to save money.
