No to Three Weekly Bin Collections in Somerset - Somerset County Council reconsider the plans before they start in Autumn 2017

If you miss a collection when you're on holiday that's 6 weeks you'll be keeping smelly rubbish for. Recycling needs really improving,Somerset don't take enough.

Absolutely agree more needs to be recycled like plastic tubs or the government need to place greater restrictions on packaging to ensure more is recyclable.

This is NOT the Middle Ages! Wake up and be aware of the health hazards bringing foxes, rats, wasps and all sorts of hazards to our streets and gardens! Shocking.

We struggle with it being every 2 weeks

Storing rubbish for three weeks before collection is simply not acceptable ...I'd like to know what mandate they have for imposing this on us. Our rates are not cheap and we deserve better.

Three weeks is too long. There will be rubbish everywhere and bins overflowing.

The savings made would be off set by the rodent/diease that would occur

Keeep to two weeks until they change cutting out packaging.

I'm not in agreement with this 3 weekly bin collection.

I already fill 2 boxes for recycling every week the supermarkets need to change their packaging, my bin is full each fortnight with my famiies rubbish, if you leave till 3 weeks then you are going to have to give another bin!

With a family of six, even with recycling as much as we are allowed, three weekly collections are ridiculous!!

More should be done to recycle; my old home town of Dover, most waste of recycled, not just cans and plastic bottles.

If this is going through then we need less packaging! How about a weigh and save in every town? Council could help with incentives here.

This is absolutely rediculous if this is another excuse to save money by reducing public services then they should make the garden waste collections less frequent...

Great news. If people recycle there is not a problem. They also need to examine what rubbish they are buying and wasting money on. The only issue will be the amount of grass in the bin as the council refuses to pick this up for free Where is the petition in support of this.

No way you won't just be emptying the bins you will be picking up the rubbish of the roads too, which i have done in the past to avoid any accidents.
