No to Three Weekly Bin Collections in Somerset - Somerset County Council reconsider the plans before they start in Autumn 2017

Its hard enough trying to fit all the rubbish into the bins now with the collection every2 weeks

Disasterous!! We already have to squash our bin contents down now in the fortnightly collection and we do recycle everything that we can possibly can. It would also encourage more cats/rodents and have already seen an increase in rubbish about especially after collection! I also have a toddler so nappies are absolutely stinking by time collection does come.

With an increase in council tax, I do not expect to have a reduction in services. As a family with 3 young children, our in is often full to bursting after 2 weeks, despite our recycling bins being filled weekly, plus a trip to the recycling centre at least twice a month as well. Any bags which won't fit in the bin with a 3 week collection will be an issue with seagulls and other wildlife. The target should be on food production companies to reduce packaging. Terrible idea and one which will make me think about my vote come local elections for council.

Ridiculous!!

3 weekly bin collections are too long for most households. Do not punish the majority with the mess this will cause for a few households that could cope with the reduced collections. Residential ares will experience pest issues and many other issues with this reduction in collections.

Our bins are full after 2 weeks, a 3rd week will see them over flowing, creating a hygiene hazard and soon we will see the start of the plague again.

We already struggle with a 2 week collection our bin is full after one week, we have a child in Nappies so it's ridiculous to want to extend this to 3. Everyone in our neighbour has black bags on the floor on collection day

There will still be same amount of rubbish so no saving.

Why change what is working well. Bins will be overflowing which will attract rats. Think about the consequences. Are you going to provide bigger bins. Will we see more rubbish dumped in the side of the road

If you have a family living at home, the bin is always full before two weeks with nothing recyclable put in it.

Stupid idea, will have dirty nappies around for 3 weeks

Sort out more recycling before implementing less black bin collections!!

We pay them to take it away . If they move it i will not pay them .

3 weeks is to long we struggle with the 2 weeks

Absurd. Our buns are full enough after just over a week and there's only 2 of us!

Large families need either a larger bin and community bins so excess can be used otherwise keep it 2 weekly

For more Than 2 people in a family, a 3 weekly collection would be impractible.
