No to Three Weekly Bin Collections in Somerset - Somerset County Council reconsider the plans before they start in Autumn 2017

There is going to be rubbish piled up everywhere overflowing and the seagulls on the seafront will have a field day ripping open the extra rubbish lying around. It's going to encourage fly tipping too.

As the kerbside collections cannot collect all plastics, going from two weeks to three weeks will be irresponsible. Until the kerbside collections can take plastic containers there will be issues.

I live in a block off flat with 3 wellie bins but they get full every time I got to pit my rubbish in wine they get empties I have hand over my rubbish to the bin men of 3 weeks isn't Good that means more rubbish being left we will end up getting rats if the council are changing to 3 week then give us more wheelie bins to compensate for the extra week off having to wait for bins to be emptied

Happy with three weekly collections if you sort out the plastic recycling system first. If not, you are opening the door on a plague of fly tipping and littering.

as a single person i dont have a lot of rubbish but for bigger households surely need more collections, This will lead to more rubbish on the streets.

Of all the things the council provide for our council tax this one of the most important. It should be once a week. 3 weeks would make us like a 3rd world country.

The majority of our household waste is packaging. I happily recycle as much as I can but you need to increase the different types of plastic that can be recycled.

Please don't change to 3 weekly bin change, it's already a nightmare with 2 weekly, living on a farm it's a nightmare with encouraging rodents.

We are a family of two but on many occasions my hubby has to take 'black bin' rubbish to the local centre in between two weekly collections. Many people are not able to do this! Please rethink your plans, Somerset is a beautiful county, let's not make it a fly tip nightmare!!

Think about this ..... not wise ... particularly for the groups mentioned. THINK.

Ridiculous idea. There will be even more fly tipping costing the council to clean up.

Dropping to this level of service really isn't acceptable, and will cause more problems than it tries to solve.

It's bad enough getting collected every two weeks!
