Solidarity with Valentin Gutev

I have reviewed many of his papers and found his expertise in set theory and topology noteworthy. Additionally, his work presents many innovative ideas, making a strong case for supporting Professor Gutev.

Prof. Gutev is an internationally renowned researcher in topology. I strongly support his case. I know him since 1990's in Bulgaria, my current position is at The City College of New York.

Professor Valentin Gutev is an outstanding scholar in the field of topology. I strongly support the petition for Professor Valentin Gutev.

Gutev Valov is an outstanding member of the research mathematics community, notable both for his depth and volume of work. I strongly urge the University of Malta to reconsider its decision.

Professor Gutev has been an outstanding mathematician over many years. Such people continue to advance their disciplines in ever deeper ways as experience grows. It is madness to throw away such talent and possibility.

Professor Valentin Gutev has always been very generous in sharing his ideas, his deep knowledge, his personal views and matemathical knowhow. His numerous publications are first rate mathematics. I am in strong support of Valentin Gutev's case. He is an excellent scholar deserves the respect and promotion worthy of his excellent accomplishments. The Universit of Malta is tarnishing its global reputation in light of how it has treated Professors Gutev and Peter Mayo.

I support the petition for the extension of Prof. Valentin Gutev’s full-time employment at the University of Malta.

Based on his mathematical output, Professor Gutev's extension should have been automatic. Almost 100 publications, a quarter of which since he moved to Malta, and so many in top relevant journals with many citations by others: what more can the University of Malta want? The rector should rectify this anomaly forthwith. Keep up the great work, Valentin!

Valetin Gutev is an eminent mathematician whose association with the University of Malta adds lustre to this institution. It is incomprehensible therefore that attempts are being made to sideline this outstanding academic.

I strongly support the petition in favour of Professor Gutev. He is an outstanding mathematician and an outstanding teacher. We were colleagues at the University of KwaZulu-Natal for a period, and I know that he was very highly regarded nationally for his research contributions in topology.
