Prof. Peter Mayo is held in high esteem by critical pedagogy theorists and practitioners worldwide and his work has placed the U of Malta on the map for its adult education work. We urge a full investigation of this situation and the just treatment of Prof. Mayo

Qué lastima que no se le reconozca y se le apoye en la universidad como le corresponde a él y y al alumnado al poder tener un maestro como éste

We all know Peter Mayo has had health problems. Has this really escaped the attention of the university authorities? I think not. Their action smacks of the some of the worst academic practices of last century's Cold War, of which they must be aware. Recognizing the value of Prof. Mayo's work in critical pedagogy, as someone who has published some of his work in the International Gramsci Journal, I too request the Univerity of Malta to renew the extension of Peter Mayo's academic service. He is a leader who will make the university proud nationally and internationally for many years to come. Restore him to his rightful place at once. This miscarriage of justice is not a proud moment for Malta.

Dr. Peter Mayo is a stellar, internationally prominent scholar and educator in the field of adult education. Not renewing Professor Mayo's position at your university is disgraceful, bringing shame to your institution.

Peter is highly regarded in the worlds of adult education. Maybe his many projects in connection with the UNESCO Chair in Global Adult Education ran him in the ground. He would need a sabbatical and be restored to his position.

I am speechless. I have seen Professor Mayo dedicate whole days to education over the last seven years. Thoroughly undeserved

As an educator and graduate student in adult education Professor Peter Mayo has offered me significant inspiration in my own practice. He has an exemplary record as both an educator and a humanitarian. His university is fortunate to have him in their service, and should strongly reconsider the decision they have made.

Conheci Peter Mayo quando ele me visitou, em São Paulo, pouco depois da morte de Paulo. Desde então tenho testemunhado sua dedicação e empenho em colaborar para que a educação seja de fundamental importância na sociedade global.
