Solidarity with Peter Mayo

I would sincerely like to hope that Peter Mayo's case is reviewed in the light of his great contribution to academic life and to the University of Malta.

Peter Mayo is an exceptional scholar and intellectual, whose contributions to the field of adult education have been truly enormous! His expertise and dedication have greatly enriched our organization and the lives of many individuals. As a colleague, I strongly believe that retaining Peter within our ranks is of utmost importance. His wealth of knowledge and experience are invaluable assets that continue to inspire and guide us in our work. It would be a great loss for our team and the community if he were to retire. I wholeheartedly support this petition to encourage Peter Mayo to continue his meaningful work with us. Let us come together and show our appreciation for his remarkable efforts, urging him to stay and be an integral part of our collective journey toward further advancements in adult education.

Peter is a giant in the world of Education. His academic Productivity, moral integrity, grasp of history, commitment to his students, inspiration to his colleagues, and passion for social justice are exemplary. That he should be treated so badly by an institution that he has served faultlessly for so many years reflects not on Peter, but on the University. I suggest most strongly that he be reinstated without delay. Otherwise, the University of Malta will find itself viewed as a pariah in the academic world. Tony Ward PhD. Deeply committed, high functioning and achieving senior academics like Peter Mayo are hard to find. He has put UoM on the map; intending to apply Masters Adult Education online in September, I am rethinking intended enrollment should the Professor not be reinstated fulltime immediately.

This decision seems very unjust. Professor Mayo's work and commitment to support other related work has been an immense influence on education throughout the world. In Ireland, his work is a very significant influence on adult education especially. Solidarity!

It's hard to imagine a university turning down a researcher of Dr. Mayo's stature! Please do the right thing!

The University of Malta cannot afford to lose its distinguished faculty. Please reinstate him.

I truly hope that Mr Mayo will once again be given his due place in University. Such shameful and disrespecting attitude to wards Mr Mayo is unacceptable.

The University of Malta is erring big time. This is not a way to treat Peter Mayo, the internationally renowned scholar and activist. The university of Malta should reinstate Peter Mayo immediately for their own academic reputaion.

Peter Mayo is one of the most respected scholars of critical education internationally. There is no doubt that he richly deserves the extension and I call upon the University of Malta administration to quickly reverse its decision.
