Willow Lakes should update it's HOA regulations to allow for solar access to all residents within SCE&G guidelines. In short, anyone should be allowed to generate up to as much solar power as they use on a daily basis. South Carolina recently passed "net metering" which allows us to buy back electricity for free that we contribute to the grid, which means even electricity we use at night can be generated by our solar systems for free.

This would help bring the neighborhood up to date and significantly increase our property values if we can get residents on board.

Unfortunately the current HOA laws prevent modifying the roof to add solar panels. Please sign to show your support for changing this archaic regulation!
