This is high-density housing, which is not in keeping with the surrounding area or in harmony with current homes in the area. This is destruction of our community and needs to be stopped.

Once again the commissioners make desisions in there own interest not for the people who put them there. The developers have more say than the residents of Elbert and that's because money and greed corupt.
I fear with the sell of the Hunt's property it's going to be a gold rush for developer's to development. I'm sure under the table deals and payoffs will run rampant. Commissioner and special interest will once again line their pockets. These developers may bring more money into the county but at what price to our way of life will it cost.

Don't mind anything if it's done legal but when the corrupt people that think they run Elbert Co. and can do what they want then I have to speak up. How much did you put in your corrupt pocket gentlemen

As a resident of Elbert County I believe that the local government should follow the laws of the state and not approve the development application. Elbert County is in no position to take care of this many more citizens. The roads in my area have not been graded since before the snowstorm of May 18th. How do they propose to provide services for 920 more houses when they can't take care of the ones they already have. This doesn't even begin to address the water issues in our county.

Regardless of my feelings on whether the county can take care of it's current residents, much less another 900+; they can't. The county needs to address the policies and procedures that are in place for decisions like these.
Commissioners need to follow the law, and improve our roads and infrastructure prior to approving any new developments. County can't provide adequate maintenance to existing roads and until they can we should not be allowing additional roads. Not to mention the water issue.
