Corruption at its finest! Way to go Elbert County. Why do the people keep voting the same small group of corrupt politicians and expect any different? Get these people out!!! For once and all during the next go around let's vote in educated, moral, ethical individuals who will actually LISTEN to the people of this county!

Stop trying to develop our rural areas. We don't want to be Castle Rock or Parker!

To watch all of this beautiful land being destroyed daily between Elbert County and Denver, is heart breaking to say the least. These "rural subdivisions" are nothing but the same cookie cutter houses that are in Denver/Metro- there is nothing "rural" about them. Our wells are at stake, our roads are at stake, and so is our lifestyle. Please stop trying to over populate an area that is full of wildlife, farms, and people who truly love the land.

We moved out here to avoid the congestion , cookie cutter houses on top of each other, and for our children to enjoy the wildlife and have open space.

This is too much development, too soon, for this part of Elbert County. As a resident of eastern Douglas County just over the county line, I will be impacted by increased traffic on Hilltop and Flintwood Roads that will occur with the high-density Independence development. This is not smart development; it's dropping a small, dense urban town into an area that is rural.

This development is a threat to the western, rural way of life we so cherish out here. We do not have the infrastructure to support a community of such gregarious proportions.

This developement will be a traffic nightmare. There are not enough roads in the area to handle that much traffic. In addition, wells are running dry due to too many people tapping the aquafer. Please stop! We like our rural way of life!
