Water is disappearing in Elbert County. Useable water depth in the Upper Dawson Aquifer keeps dropping and many residents are having to put new deeper wells in. What good is it to own the water rights below your property, when the water level keeps dropping?
The judicial water court for our area has determined that our aquifer is already over drawn and can not continue to sustain expanded use. It is up to our Commissioners to protect the water rights of existing vested property owners.

Time to recall the Commissioners??? They want $$$ only care about that. We live here for a reason. I'd like to keep the crappy roads rather than have Independance built. An oxymoron calling it Independence. Don't shove this down our throats.

To much. To much traffic congestion. Roads over burdened. No CDOT plans to widen roads and no budget for wider roads. With density comes increased crime. To much water being used now!!!!

Too many houses for a rural environment. Developers need to begin again...1 home per 5 acres at a minimum...would be better suited to Elbert County and immediately adjacent neighborhoods at 1 home per ten acres.
