It's about time that Soca gets the recognition it deserves. The work that goes in to produce music, performances and competition is just as much as any other genre. This music is enjoyed by people all over the world and they can enjoy heartfelt performances full of theatrics and colour by the best soca artistes in the world. This genre of music has a deep history and the calibre of music is beyond international standard. The world loves the Caribbean, it is now time to accept Soca as much as Dancehall and Reggae. Soca artistes need to be able to be globally recognised as legends.

Soca has never had anything to do with reggae, so I don't understand why we're always lumped into the reggae genre. "World/Worldwide" Also bothers me because newer genres like Afrobeats & Reggaeton (Urbano Latino) have their own categories, but not Soca.
