Home office stats (2011) - "The area exhibits relatively high levels of multiple deprivatio n particularly in respect of health, education, crime and income. Some areas fall within the 20% most deprived areas of the country, therefore it is designated as an “Area for R egeneration” in the London Plan. The area has an unemployment rate higher than the sub - regional average, more akin to inner London..." - With such stark reports, the need for Snowdown Community to remain open is absolutely evident.

The area is high on residential properties and low on community assets - the last thing the council should be doing with such a facility is selling it to developers.

The young people of Penge deserve somewhere secure to go with their friends. It's got to be better than having them hang around on street corners!

These small centres are essential for everyone....thats a given! Though we have ended up paying for ours through the parish council £50 a year plus some charity funds, not perfect but it works. Not sure of your situation, but I wish you the very best in yor aim.

Short sighted if the youth of Penge are left aimless - young people are the community's future - social engagement and meeting places needed. Scandalous if the only one in Penge is closed down for profit making purposes.

This building has potential to once again be a very valuable community resource.
We must help the youth. They are our future.
We need to see the Bigger picture folks!?
