Please do not allow the zoning change; Snider Plaza is a very special development and had been the success it is today because of the zoning our forefathers created and intended it to be and remain as they created it for their future generations.

As a UP resident, I am opposed to such a large building and definitely, a large concrete wall. Not to mention more mirrored windows reflecting heat. Traditional brick and mortar aesthetics are much more preferred. Am already tired of all the 'modern' boxes going up posing as houses.
This is a deplorable building choice for UP Snider Plaza. We are not Addison, Plano and our home prices / taxes are paid to avoid looking as such. Low level 1 story / 2 max is only option. Preston Center has numerous empty office bldgs, and building two 18 story new bldgs. Stop the madness, UP is a small town within a big city. Stop attempting to ruin our charm, beauty and long standing traditions built and designed by our parents, parents, parents. Stop this ugly, congested Addison bldg in our UP

While in favor if re-development at this site, the proposal needs to primarily meet the needs of the area (parking please), be in scale with the adjacent area ( 3-5 stories tall) and compatible in design with the surrounding neighborhood. ( Snider Plaza, SMU, neighborhood homes, HPUMC, etc). Take a page from the beautiful new YMCA building...but please go back to the drawing board!

I object to the approval of this massive office tower in the middle of University Park. It is way too big for this space, will generate a significant increase in traffic in an area that already has had way too many car-pedestrian accidents, and sets a precedent for a wall of huge towers all along Hillcrest. We do not need to recreate a Preston Center-like cluster of towers in the middle of UP. Our neighborhood will become unlivable and unmanageable if we go down this slippery slope. I urge the City Council take a long-term view and exercise common sense and restraint, and investigate using its available park funds to make a city park on this lot with underground parking to anchor Snider Plaza in a functional, beautiful manner.

Too huge, too ugly, doesn't fit into architecture of the community, Snider Plaza or SMU.

Enough with overbuilding in this area as well as around Preston NW Hwy. Too much traffic!

Along with the invasive height of this building, I am especially opposed to the PARKING EXIT which pours traffic onto Haynie. These cars will pour into our neighborhood and should be required to exit back into the business side of this project.

I can't believe this is the best the owners of this property can come up with. Please push back and do not approve this zoning request from Strode Development.
