The proposed development is too large for that space and a building that size will create a safety hazard for pedestrian and car traffic at the intersection.

We do not need anymore traffic in that area. As it is now, there are not enough parking spaces. This new building would overpower the neighborhood and add nothing good to what already exists.

I am concerned about how busy Dickens is now, and how the traffic pattern will affect school children; it is a very busy street even in the middle of the day in the middle of summer. I sat through 2 traffic lights mid-day just yesterday to get onto Lovers at Dickens; think what it is on school days both morning and afternoon with children on bikes cutting through Snider Plaza and going to Hillcrest and Dickens to get between UP Elementary & MIS.
This is only one of my concerns
on this much needed development.
Thankyou for your hard work to get it to "fit into" our comfortable
neighborhood.

I strongly encourage the UP City Council to reject this re-zoning request and push for a more neighborhood friendly project on this property.

Why not a parking garage similar to the ones on SMU campus? Snider Plaza needs more parking for sure, and this is the perfect place to put it. Charge maybe $2 for two hours (of course free would be best!).
