Are we TRYING to become a Frisco?! Shameful to anyone who approves this large "business" building in our charming neighborhood! Do we really need high-rise buildings to stare down on all of our homes???????

Bigger isn't always better. Too tall, changes skyline.

object! sets the wrong precedence and don't see the need or the value this tall structure would bring!

This is a huge mistake. There is already too much traffic on Haynie. I live in the 3500 block of Haynie There is a reason these ordinances were put in place years ago. Lets keep the neighborhood feel

We need to find a solution that doesn't dramatically change the integrity of the retail and office structures within UP.

We are against the rezoning of the Chase Bank Property. Mirrored glass is a hazard, height of building, increased traffic, future developments are negative for our area. How after resisting the rezoning for over 10 years is this now a good idea? Please do Not vote to approve the rezoning !
Sincerely,
Pam and Stanley Crossman

The proposed structure is way to tall and the design does not compliment SMU or the quaintness of Snider Plaza. This is unacceptable!

Opposed to re-zoning to bring about this height and size building to the neighborhood. Would support redevelopment at a smaller size and scale closer to what is in place in the area now.

Traffic is already a nightmare in the morning and afternoon during the school year. The neighborhood cannot absorb 1000s of additional car trips per day. Too dangerous for children walking and on bikes.
We need to recapture any available park space, and the current surface parking area would be a fabulous opportunity. If Dallas can do it, why can't we? After all, this is University Park!

not happy with anything that has been done in UP lately. Ugly structures, schools, and egregious use of taxpayer money is just the start of turning UP into California. This 10 story building is silly. I think we need a 'kinder' use of that property.

UP does not need such a monster of a building just off Snyder Plaza. Please reconsider the height and size.

I know we need to do something with this eyesore of a property but I know we can achieve a smarter more thoughtful plan. I implore the city of University Park to take the time to achieve this.

I strongly oppose the current Strode plan. There are many, many better options for CUP, surrounding neighborhoods, & Snider Plaza. We do not need to create another Preston Center at this busy intersection nor do we need to set the precedent for high rises sprouting all along Hillcrest from Lovers Ln to Mockingbird. If we want to maintain a walkable, safe environment for pedestrians, cyclists, shoppers we need to reject this massive plan.

This project is counterintuitive to the integrity of a University Park neighborhood. This why elected city officials have oversight capacity to protect our neighborhoods and do what is best for the community FIRST. This is safety, density and aesthetics FIRST and foremost over commercial interests.
