We obgect. We feel new buildings should respect the current heights of surrounding buildings and the neighborhood. Also this would burden the neighborhood with to much traffic. The safety of our children is a paramount.

CUP has $15 million earmarked for CUP PARKS. The funding is not allowed to be used for anything else. I learned of this last week. Why didn't they buy in the land and turn it into a park on top of a parking garage .... addresses the Snider Plaza parking, the existing eyesore and keeps the traffic congestion down!

Snider Plaza simply cannot handle a structure of this size, height, and magnitude. We need to look at ways to decrease traffic and increase parking in and around Snider Plaza. This will worsen an already dire and oftentimes dangerous overcrowding problem.

I especially object to the size of this proposed building, the mirrored glass, and setting a precedent for other similar buildings.

I strongly object to the proposed zoning changes. I live at 3511 Haynie and have 3 children (and 2 dogs). The increased traffic will contribute to an already poor pedestrian and cycling environment.

Bank, after bank and after bank and then a massive glassed building? Awful. I agree with a HPV look/green space. Why not an underground parking garage?

Unbelievable someone would come up with a plan like this! He/she must not live in the Park Cities.

I'm surprised that Strode Development camp up with this develop plan which is not fit into our neighborhood in many ways. The proposed building is too tall, all glass exterior will have potential negative effects on the residential area. The multi leveled concrete parking lots will look out of place to adjacent residential blocks and the traffic and parking will worsen (not improve) the current snider plaza.

This edifice is too tall for this busy residential neighborhood corner. Parking for Snider Plaza tenants and visitors must be included in any plan for this property. Also, a style of construction similar to that of the neighborhood be kept. Mirrored glass does not have a place on this corner. I would love to see a developer consider apartment style housing for SMU upperclass, graduate and law students to enhance that important part of our community. A tasteful parking garage and surrounding greenspace and trees would improve this property and traffic surrounding Snider Plaza.

The building planned is way too big. It is already a traffic nightmare over there and this will make it worse. Also - this will abut a beautiful residential with an ugly concrete wall impacting property values. Bad idea all around.

I urge the UP City council to dismiss this zoning request. Recently, we've seen too much over development in UP/HP, none of which has improved or enhance the living experience in UP/HP. Developer are tearing down perfectly good houses, businesses, and schools in-lieu of massive modern looking structures which don't fit into the Park Cities. Please consider other uses for this land. Traffic and parking has become an enormous issue in Synder Plaza already, with parking often overflowing into side streets. The addition of a multi-story building at this location will exponentially compound the parking and traffic problems. This is often the route of children walking or biking to the Middle/Int. school, the addition of traffic and congestion potentially puts children at risk. Let's keep the PARKS in the UP/HP name. How do we start a FUND to buyback land for additional PARKS in UP/HP?

The developers need to keep the new structure similar to the neighborhood. It needs to be similar to the SMU buildings or Highland Park Village buildings.

Absolutely foolish to ruin the area with a high rise.
