Ridiculous lack of continuity for the students, and accelerated learning will be a challenge for students of all abilities.

There are so many wrongs in this proposal - I actually can't believe this is being put forth by school administrators!

No easy answers but the District should continue to evaluate, no reason to rush into a bad decision. Not clear what led to recommending this option over the others.

The proposed quarter schedule will stress out every student and exacerbate an already stressful situation.

We appreciate school district working on a proposal to support the students in these times. However, please remember that our kids will have to go out and compete for college seats across the country. These decisions should improve and not impede their changes of getting into their desired colleges.

I am strongly against the rollout of a Quarter System model. This model is the antithesis of support for students, teachers, and families. I expect that the District and Board will take the time to consider all proposed models rather than ceding the spotlight to the Quarter Model which lends little, if any, consideration to a multitude of learning and teaching concerns.

I sincerely hope the District Board will not vote on the quarter system 6/11/20.
Due to extreme circumstances teachers should convene and discuss w/their Principals of best possible scenarios for the Fall. Voting on something so extreme w/out consent of your teachers is truly unfortunate and I hope the board reconsiders and does not go forward w/the new quarter system on 6/11.

I oppose the quarter system. It places an unfair burden on teachers to rethink their entire curriculum. It hurts students taking APs as well as at-risk students who need more support due to the aggressive pace. It does not provide sufficient structure for students on the days when they aren't at school.

Mostly I believe that this schedule will cause students to learn by cramming, and will decrease the effectiveness of teacher's teaching with a shorter period for learning.

Please don't experiment with my children.
