The motive to withhold administering PSAT to eligible students should be carefully analyzed.

It is extremely disappointing to see that the SMUHSD leadership is denying students within their district the opportunity to take the PSAT exam. This decision will have serious ramifications and financially hurt students who would have otherwise had a chance to qualify for scholarships based on merit. If other districts can make it possible, it shows the incompetence of the leadership of the SMUHSD. This is a time to uplift the students, not to knock them down.

It is the ethical, professional and moral obligation of the SMUHSD to provide students and families within their district equal opportunities for learning, testing and National Merit based scholarships and accolades. It is especially harmful during these challenging times to deny students and their families an important educational benchmark, opportunity for merit recognition and future scholarship candidacy when they are most needed, particularly for Juniors. This is far beyond placing our students at a disadvantage. This is a piracy of equal rights to such opportunities for students within our district who rely on, can most benefit from and have earned them.
If other districts can administer the PSAT, so can SMUHSD.

very unfair for the students especially the good ones, who put serious work in their preparations and studies to become ineligible for merit scholarships. Please reconsider this appalling decision.

I believe that you can safely administer this test. The most important criteria will be using classroom withs good ventilation (fresh air) and keeping kids distanced.

if this can be done safely for seniors it can also be done for Juniors. Merit scholarships are significant and Aragon has national merit finalists every year.

We should provide PSAT for our students. It makes no sense why this cannot be done.

We should be doing what's best for students so they can reach their greatest potential. That means being able to take the PSAT. Thank you.

Please offer the PSAT at the San Mateo High Schools this year. We have students that already have lost so much this past year.

This is the only opportunity Junior have for National Merit recognition and scholarships. Not offering this test is a financial penalty for our students.
