What kind of parent and/or community input went into this decision?

Wow, I can't believe a school district would do possibly decide not to offer this.

Please administer this test for our 10th and 11th grade students. This is a relatively easy way to bring more equity to a playing field that has become more inaccessible during pandemic times.

Please offer the PSAT opportunity to our Sophmore and Junior students. Standardized tests are known to be stressful and anxiety producing & students need the trial-run to get comfortable, know what to expect and have time to practice taking this type of assessment.

Please reconsider, don't disadvantage these students.

I don’t believe that’s fair to our students, not giving the same privileges as others. This puts our kids at a very big disadvantage, cheating them out of this opportunity.

Since our district is already planning a socially distanced way to offer the SAT, and the fact that the College Board is being very flexible and providing multiple test dates, I would like our district to offer the PSAT as well and not deprive our Juniors of the opportunity for recognition, scholarships and most importantly, invaluable test practice in preparation for their SAT exam next year.

This is unfair to the 10th and 11th graders. Please consider administering fall PSAT tests.

I would like SMUHSD to reconsider administering PSAT for high school students

I think it should be offered as it is no different than the SAT

This is not acceptable as my child has prepared for this test for a long time. You are making the SMHSUD to be non-competitive to other high schools. The Pass/No Pass grading for last semester is bad enough. The superintendent and the school district have over-reached their authority. Making an unilateral discussion without consulting the parents or students are completely no acceptable. Legal lawsuit should be considered as an option to pursue.

Please offer PSAT to all the juniors as this is such an important year. How can they be recognized and stay competitive without the opportunity being provided?

I would like my child have the equal opportunity to compete for the National Merit Award.

Please offer PSAT for at least the juniors. The students have already been affected by the cancellation of SAT. Some colleges may say these are optional, but talking to them they clearly mention, the students who have these scores and have done well will get preference. Thank you

Why is SMHS not able to offer SAT nor PSAT to our 10&11 graders but others can??? What is the rational for this?

SMHS alum. I took the PSAT in 2018 and I believe my score and the recognition I received helped me get into college. Please don't take this opportunity away from current students.

The PSAT should be administered. I do not see why the test is offered to students in other school districts and SMUHSD does not plan on administering it. They should not deprive the students the opportunity of taking the test.

We need our daughter to take PSAT for college scholarship consideration.

Please do offer PSAT to SMUHD this fall. Students deserve a chance to get scholarship opportunities like other school kids. Board has no right to deprive them of this test. Students should have option to either take it or not take it.
