The cat program has been a success for almost a decade. It seems wrong to discontinue without discussing with the faithful volunteers.

We have had this cat program for 20 years. Terminix probably blamed it on the cats so they could get MONEY to come out here and cage them up. SMU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES! LEAVE THE CATS ALONE. SAVE OUR CATS!!

I am very upset to hear about the way our cats are being treated. I've worked at SMU for 26 years and always enjoyed the cats, and I know they do their job to keep us rodent free!

I'm not sure where you received your information. If you prevented students from leaving their cats behind like refuse, then we would not have this problem. Killing them is not the answer. Trap, Neuter, Return.

Keep the cat program. Treat them for flees. Easy fix.

The feral cat program is a great program and treating the cats well and humanely should continue. This is very upsetting!!! Do not harm the cats and give them back their food and water. Students and staff have loved these cats for many years. Some have even ended up with homes.

Did it ever occur to the people that are complaining that squirrels carry fleas as do birds. With all the dogs that are walked on SMU's campus, that could be contributing to the problem, also.

Please don't harm the ferals! Rescue groups work hard to keep the community healthy and cared for.

There is no excuse, how this all was handled. This screams unprofessional...
Why people in the feral cat program were not notified? The cats have been a welcome sight on campus, and have been loved by both students and staff. Surely, there was/is a better way... you should expect many students to be upset...

Treating the cats will do more to solve the problem than removing the cats. Other options are out there. Too bad the EOC didn't reach out to the cat group to find a better solution.

This is horrible! These cats have been living on the campus peacefully for many years. Now, all of a sudden and without any warning, they are being rounded up in inhumane traps by Terminix. This needs to stop immediately!!!!!

SMU is a prestigious college and should have only prestigious people working there... not the idiots who sanctioned this half-baked idea.. SMU you need to seek professional help..
