How awful! I agree with comment regarding the rodents. Rodents carry far more dangerous issues than cats ever will.

As a former student and animal lover, I am appalled at how this situation is being handled and would have hoped for a more enlightened approach. Attitudes towards our fellow creatures have made huge strides in recent years. The tactic that SMU is now advocating is a step in the wrong direction.

As an Alumni, and a donor to the University and the Mustang Club, I find this decision to be outrageous.
This was a well thought out, well managed program. it is quite irrational on the part of SMU. The local rodent population is no doubt fairly well managed. Killing the cats, will likely lead to growth of rodents, which will lead to more business for exterminators. Not a good decision, in my opinion.

Trapping animals in temperatures up to 106 degrees is inhumane and ungodly. Please find it within yourselves to do the right thing.

Please, please, please do NOT deprive the numerous cats in need on the SMU campus. The Feral Cat Program has been a much needed, and life saving program for 10 years.
The recent action to use a pest control company to trap the cTs on campus is I humane and cruel to these sensitive animals.
This actions reflects very badly on SMU. I his institution is morally bound to do better.
I am very disturbed at SMU's actions and the lack of due process toward the program.

Let them be. Have them neutered and or spayed... Notch their ear and turn them loose back there. The only home they've known...

PLEASE leave the cats in the area that is their home. They are not bothering anyone and you would do great damage to the reputation of SMU if you kill those cats. Don't do it!
